Heavy Snowfall

"Heavy Snowfall" is a reworking of an older painting. After having the painting in my studio since last fall I decided to cut the painting down from 24" x 30" to 18" x 30". I felt the existing foreground was unimportant and that the entire painting was improved by doing so. I also added some additional light into the stand of trees on the right side. These changes help to establish the sun light direction. Some additional work was scattered here and there. Overall a much better composition with more dramatic lighting effects.
